Selection to APO in Group B Services of Indian Railways
APO Group B Service
Vacancies in Group 'B' for the post of Assistant Personnel Officer (APO) are filled by positive act of selection and promotion of qualified candidates placed on the panel from amongst the eligible Group C employees by General Manager.
Selection Board consists of 3 Principal HODs PHoD/CHoDs which include PCPO and 2 PHoDs of other department concerned.
70% vacancies are filled through a process of selection primarily based on seniority and 30% through a selection test known as Limited Departmental Competitive Examination(APO LDCE).
